Bright Immigration started the Brighter Together Foundation to shed light on and celebrate the positive impacts that immigrants make in Canada. Whether you are a newcomer or a third-generation Canadian, all of our actions matter. We recognize that Canada is a fantastic country, however we understand that there are still challenges to overcome.
In 2023, we revisited our Theory of Change to focus on areas that are building on the 11 supported projects from years prior. In 2024 we will move forward intentionally to scale Brighter Together to a different level of foundational impact in areas of: environmental conservation, building newcomer community, youth engagement and First Nation and Indigenous relationships.
The immigration firm Bright Immigration has had the privilege of leading the journey to Canada for many new Canadians with the mission to make Canada a home to all of our clients. Bright Immigration values the hard work and contributions made daily by newcomers.
The Brighter Together Foundation shines a light on immigrants to celebrate the positive impacts that immigrants make in Canada and to Canadian charities. Building off 11 projects, we employ a micro-philanthropic model to see through a theory of change that achieves project outcomes aligned to 5 UN SDGs. Via these grants, we aim to help Canadian charities address diversity in its giving gap to fund projects to address internal (long lasting) challenges, while building community for newcomer-inclusive projects.
The impact model of Brighter Together is to provide micro-financial support to tackle problems right here in Canada. Together, we will identify the challenge, inspire a solution, and raise the small funds to execute a resolution for a lasting and meaningful change. Our purpose is to help charities reach specific and practical goals to support their services and communities.”
